Unnecessary hospital overcrowding is further complicating the Corona situation in India, the World Health Organization has observed.
In addition, more contagious variants of the coronavirus and lower rates of vaccination than the population seem to have brought the crisis to this stage.
This information was given in a report of Times of India on Tuesday. For a few days now, about three and a half lakh corona patients have been identified in India daily, and the death toll has been around three and a half thousand. The death toll from the coronavirus in the country is close to two lakh. It has become difficult for new patients to be admitted to hospitals in the capital Delhi. Patients are dying due to a lack of oxygen in the hospital.
WHO spokesman Tarek Jasarevic said they were sending emergency medical equipment to India. These include four thousand oxygen concentrators.
“One of the problems now is a lot of people are rushing to the hospital,” he said. However, keeping the patient at home can be handled very safely with the services as per the advice of the doctor.
According to him, it would be beneficial to diagnose the community-based health centers and provide services to the patients at home. Awareness should also be raised among the people in this regard.
