From ‘The City of Joy’ to Kolkata will be ‘City of Future’: Modi
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said his party, the BJP, will win the West Bengal assembly elections. And if BJP comes to power, Kolkata will be transformed from ‘City of Joy’ to ‘City of Future’.
Modi was scheduled to arrive in West Bengal on Friday and address four election rallies. But he canceled the tour due to the ongoing Corona situation. Instead of those four campaign rallies, he delivered a virtual speech from Delhi on Friday to voters in six districts. In the last two rounds of elections, the BJP has set up giant screens in 56 polling stations to make the people of the area listen to Modi’s speech.
In that speech, Modi said, BJP will come to power in Bengal this time with the blessings of the people of Bengal. BJP will turn this Bengal into a golden Bengal. The double-engine government of the center and the state will be a novice in the development of Bengal on average. He said Kolkata is one of the traditional cities of the country today. The city of Joy. This time BJP will come to power and build this Kolkata as the ‘City of Future’. Build Bengal as a goon-free state. Kolkata will be a city free from discrimination. When the BJP comes to power, fast-track courts will be set up to try criminals to curb crime in the state.
Will bring back the glory of Bengal. Protect women. Will bring back democracy.
Modi said the enemy of development is infiltration, smuggling, extortion, and syndicate rule. When BJP comes to power, it will stop all this and build Bengal as a golden Bengal. Hooligan will stop. Will employ the youth of Bengal. Will give pucca houses to the poor. Drinking water will be provided in rural areas. By developing agriculture and industry in Bengal, industrialization will take place rapidly in this state. Will develop the panchayat system. This will increase the investment in Bengal and bring the tide in agriculture and industry in Bengal. Will develop metro rail. The law and order will be further improved.
Modi said he could not come to West Bengal because of Corona. He also expressed regret for this. He said that even after getting the corona vaccine, everyone should follow the corona rules after wearing the mask. The Indian government is on the side of the people in the battle to conquer Corona. The central government has taken overall measures to prevent corona.
In West Bengal, there are two rounds of elections left in the eight-point assembly elections. That election will be on April 28 and 29. A total of 61 seats will be polled in two phases. The results will be released on May 2.
